Fixing Mistakes

IFixing Mistakes is a 2 week class with an optional 3rd week covering more advanced techniques. The first 2 weeks concentrate on techniques for avoiding mistakes as well as proven methods for identifying and fixing mistakes while a project is in progress.

The optional 3rd week will cover more complex fixes for lace work, cables, and after project completion repair work.

We will also cover Tips and Tricks to make your knitting a more enjoyable, mistake free experience. By increasing your confidence that mistakes are fixable, you remove much of the fear of making a mistake. And, ironically, once you no longer fear the possibility of making mistakes, then you will find that you make fewer and fewer mistakes.

Students will need to bring a fix it tool or a crochet hook, practice yarn and needles. Please be sure your practice yarn is a light color and sturdy enough to allow knitting and reknitting without losing its structure. Come prepared to discuss and talk through your most irritating mistakes and then develop the techniques and strategies needed to banish them.
