Class Information and Policies

Our classes are designed to be supportive and hands-on. To make sure every student gets the attention they need, class size is limited and spaces are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. All classes are held in person at Twisted Stitch Yarn. We are committed to compensating our instructors fairly, not only for the time they are teaching but also for the time they spend developing their classes.

• Registration: Please come to the store or call us to register. Full payment is required to reserve your space. Supplies are not included in the class fee unless noted.

• Minimum Number of Students: For a class to run, at least 2 students must be registered. If the class minimum isn’t met within 2 days of the class start, the class will be cancelled and a refund will be issued.

• Age Requirement: Classes are open to students 16 years and older. If you are under 16 and would like to participate, we recommend signing up for either Quick Start Knitting or a Private/Semi-Private lesson as those classes are open to students under the age of 16.

Cancellation Policy

We understand that schedules can change, and we do our best to be flexible while keeping our classes running smoothly:

• Class fees are non-refundable.

• Cancellations made at least 3 days before the first class are eligible for a store credit or can be transferred to another class.

• We cannot offer store credit with less than 3 days’ notice.

• Make-up sessions are not available, so please check your schedule carefully before registering.

• If Twisted Stitch Yarn must cancel a class, you will receive a full refund.

Private Lessons

We also offer private/semi-private/create your own classes at $40 per hour for the first student, and each additional student adds $10/hour. The maximum number of people for this option will vary depending on age and skill, but generally we will cap these classes at 4-6 people. There is no minimum age requirement, but students under 12 yrs old must have an adult/guardian in attendance. Please stop by the store to discuss your needs and to find a time that fits everyone's schedule.
