
Intro to Sweaters:
Flax Pullover
In this class you will learn the basics of sweater knitting and construction. You will make a sweater that is worked seamlessly in the round from the top down. You cast on at the neckline and the yoke is shaped by raglan increases to the underarm. Sleeve sts are placed on hold on waste yarn, the body is completed, then sleeves are worked last.

Flax Worsted Sweater pattern by Tin Can Knits (available for free on Ravelry)

Worsted Weight Yarn for your size (see pattern for yardage)

US 6 and US 8 circular needles

Stitch Markers

Waste yarn/sticth holders

Tapestry needle (for weaving in yarn ends)
Homework: Please come to the first class with your pattern, selected yarn, and your swatch knit. We’ll give you swatching instructions when you select your yarn.
Skill Level: Adventurous Beginner: you need to be comfortable casting-on, knitting and purling, and working in the round
